Situato nella Brunel University, si trova a soli 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Uxbridge, cittadina residenziale, comodamente raggiungibile con 40 minuti di metropolitana dal centro di Londra.

 

Il campus è di altissimo livello: sorge su un’ampia area verde ed offre tutte le strutture più moderne ed all’avanguardia per lo studio ed il tempo libero. A disposizione degli studenti si trovano aule moderne e luminose, sale ad anfiteatro per proiezioni, un moderno auditorium per concerti, spettacoli e video. Un ampio ristorante, un supermercato, una libreria, una banca, una lavanderia a gettoni ed una Student Union con tanto di discoteca per le serate al college completano le strutture a disposizione. Il centro sportivo offre infine campi da gioco coperti per basket, volley e campi da calcio e da tennis all’aperto. Tutto attorno al campus ci sono parchi, giardini e aree verdi che consentono di trascorrere momenti di relax.

 

Accommodation

Summer school students are accommodated in the on-campus university halls of residence, within easy reach of all campus facilities.

Rooms options:

  • Single bedroom with private en suite bathrooms.

  • Single bedroom with washbasin, and shared bathroom facilities (in a ratio of 1 bathroom to 4 bedrooms).

Security: There is 24-hour security on site. Anyone with an emergency during the night should call the centre mobile number which will be given to all students on arrival.

Facilities

  • Classrooms: Lessons take place in modern well-equipped classrooms or lecture theatres in the main school building.

  • Sports facilities: Football pitches, all-weather pitches and outdoor tennis courts.

  • Dining Hall: Modern, self-service dining-hall close to the accommodation and classrooms.

  • Social space: There is a classic English style bar where most of the evening entertainment will be held.

  • Common room: Theatre available for evening entertainment such as talent shows and karaoke. Discos are held in the large Student Union on site and there are other large social rooms.

  • Shops: There are a number of outlets on campus including a small supermarket, pharmacy, computer shop and a bank.

  • Non-sports:Arts & Crafts, Drama and Treasure Hunts

Evening activities

  • Treasure Hunts, mask making and ‘Make-your-own- Crazy Golf’ and additional off-site local visits.

 

Excursions

Included in the course price:

  • Two full-day excursions each week by train into London.

  • One full-day excursion by coach at the weekend – outside of London.

  • Buckingham Palace: Visit the Queen’s Gallery and, during a few weeks of summer the state rooms at the British Monarch’s primary home.

  • Brighton Royal Pavilion: An unusual and decorative palace that is influenced by oriental styles.

  • Chessington World of Adventures: A zoo and theme park on the edge of Greater London, with roller-coasters and water rides.

  • Hampton Court Palace: A 16th century, large and impressive palace with extensive gardens.

  • Kew Gardens: Huge garden estate housing the world’s largest collection of living plants.

  • London Eye: Take a ride on Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel and enjoy fantastic views over London.

  • Madame Tussauds & Marvel 4D Experience:Waxwork museum, now with a unique 4D cinema!

  • Tower of London: For centuries this palace, with its prison tower was the place of many royal executions.

  • Windsor Castle:Visit the Queen’s favourite weekend home. The oldest, and largest, inhabited castle in the world.
